Vehicle Security – They Don’t Just Drive Themselves Away..

Over recent times the Crow’s Nest division has seen increased offences where vehicles have been unlawfully entered & property stolen.

Generally the vehicles entered have been left unlocked by the owners, allowing offenders unrestricted access. It has also been observed that persons attending the business precinct of Crow’s Nest are leaving their vehicles unlocked, windows down, and in some instances, engines have been left running with no-one in the vehicle.

This may put you at risk of either having your personal property or vehicle stolen. It is requested that all members of the community be vigilant in relation to property security, ensuring that vehicles are left locked & secured at all times they are unattended.

In the coming weeks Volunteers in Policing will be performing inspections within the Crow’s Nest township to ensure vehicles are being left secured by owners in a concerted effort to reduce property crime within the division.
